Format: Plan

This is a high-level example of a Project Charter for implementing a methodology, but the structure and approach will work for many projects. This example is heavy on risks and assumptions, light on budgeting, role descriptions and conflict resolution.

Tailoring this document for your project will create a shared understanding of: background, scope, concept definition and areas of impact.

What will I get out of this?
Creating a Project Charter will bring high level clarity to the Project for everyone involved.

"Excelent starting-point for a PMO template. Easy to use, but useful as a starting point for determining the main steps."

"Good template, to the point. However, the person signing should be the project sponsor, not the project manager, because one of the goals of the charter is to give the project manager the authority to manage the project."
