"Although this article provides some interesting items for consideration I do not think it provides adeqaute guidance for an organization looking to conduct an SCM/ECM assessment. This ariticle presents questions on communication, training and project longevity, which are fine but it falls short in being able to adequately assess an organization for the planning and implementation of SCM/ECM. There are three key areas that must be address in an assessment: People, Process and Technology. Each of these require a detailed understanding from which a document such as this will not suffice. Helping an organization from a current state to an ideal state can be long and arduous and I hope any PM that has been assigned to conduct an SCM/ECM roll-out seeks guidance from a seasoned professional in order to gain a more comprehensive understanding of what needs to be considered to be successful.
