Justify Your Project

Analyzing Cost/Benefit

If we went ahead and did this, what good and bad could come of it? A cost/benefit analysis summarizes and compares both the negatives and the positives. Widely used for planning, decision support and program/proposal evaluation, it lets you understand the net effect of a decision in dollars and common sense. It's easier to decide which way to decide when you know what's behind Door No. 2.

"We should be careful to get out of an experience only the wisdom that is in it - and stop there; lest we be like the cat that sits down on a hot stove-lid. She will never sit down on a hot stove-lid again, and that is well; but also she will never sit down on a cold one anymore."
